Who this is for

Individuals and couples within five years of leaving full-time work, or already drawing income. Many clients arrive with statements from several schemes, a vague sense of “enough,” and unanswered questions about when to claim the State Pension or how much to leave invested.

What you receive

  • A written inventory of pension arrangements, charges, and protected benefits we can verify from your paperwork
  • Illustrative income schedules under two or three drawdown and annuity-mix options you choose to explore
  • A plain-language note on tax wrappers, emergency cash buffers, and survivor provisions
  • A follow-up call within thirty days of the final meeting to clarify implementation with your existing providers

What is not included

We do not execute trades, transfer pensions, or act as discretionary fund managers. Product recommendations, where given, sit within a separate suitability letter and fee agreement. Legal drafting of wills or trusts is referred to a solicitor.

How the work unfolds

  1. Discovery meeting (90 minutes). We gather goals, health considerations, housing plans, and any dependants who rely on your income.
  2. Document review. You send scheme booklets, annual statements, and State Pension forecasts; we flag gaps before the modelling session.
  3. Options meeting. We walk through income paths side by side, including what happens if markets fall early in retirement.
  4. Written plan. You leave with a bound summary and a checklist of actions you or your adviser can take next.

Duration & delivery

Typically three meetings over four to six weeks. Meetings are held at our East Boehm office or by video when travel is impractical. Preparation usually takes two evenings of gathering paperwork on your side.

Pricing basis

From £1,850 fixed engagement, depending on the number of schemes and whether defined-benefit transfers require specialist referral. A deposit of £400 confirms the diary slot; the balance is due after the written plan is delivered. See fee guidance and our refund policy.

Next step

Tell us roughly when you hope to stop full-time work and how many pension pots you hold. We will confirm whether Retirement Income Mapping is the right engagement or whether a shorter Pension Health Check fits better.
