What we collect

Enquiry forms collect name, email, selected advice area, optional preferred meeting week, and your message. During engagements we may collect financial statements, identification documents required by anti-money-laundering rules, and notes from meetings.

Purposes & lawful bases

• Responding to enquiries — legitimate interests and steps prior to a contract
• Delivering advice engagements — performance of a contract and legal obligations
• Improving site usability via optional analytics cookies — consent where required

Retention

Enquiry messages without a subsequent engagement are typically retained for up to twenty-four months. Client files for advice work are retained for at least the period required by financial services record-keeping rules and our professional indemnity insurers, often six years or longer after the engagement ends.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection to certain processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office. Rights may be limited where we must keep records for legal or regulatory reasons.

International transfers

If we use email, document, or hosting providers that store data outside the United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses. Details of current processors are available on request.
